What these terms cover

These terms cover the Storyball mobile application published by Baan Software PTE. LTD., and this website. They do not cover the physical toy itself, which is sold with its own documentation and its own warranty from whoever sold it to you.

Using the app

The app is free. You may install it on devices you control and use it to operate a Storyball toy, for as long as you like. You may not sell it, rent it, or pass it off as something else, and you may not take it apart in order to rebuild it as a competing product.

There is no account, so there is nothing to suspend and nothing you can be locked out of.

Children

The app is made for children and rated 4+. It is intended to be set up by a parent or guardian, who is the person agreeing to these terms. Nothing in the app is public, and there is no way for a child to contact a stranger through it.

Content and characters

The stories, games, audio, artwork and characters belong to Baan Software PTE. LTD. or to the people who licensed them to us. You may play them. You may not extract, redistribute or publish them.

Content is delivered over the internet from servers we run. Storyball is no longer in development, and nothing here promises that a particular piece of content, or the service that delivers it, will remain available indefinitely.

The app is provided as it is

It is provided without a warranty of any kind. Storyball is a finished product rather than one under active development: the app and its content stay available, and we answer mail about them, but we are not promising new features or a fix for every problem. It also depends on a Bluetooth connection, on a phone we did not make and on an operating system we do not control, and any of those can stop it working.

To the extent the law allows, Baan Software PTE. LTD. is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using the app. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by agreement.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top of the page changes with them. Continuing to use the app after that is how you accept the new version; if you would rather not, delete it.
